PART I: Free Services & Public Website

1. License & Usage

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our free readability tools and text generators for personal or commercial use.

2. "As-Is" Disclaimer

Free services are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. Since our free tools operate entirely in your browser without server storage:

• No Data Retention: We are not responsible for any lost text if your browser crashes or you close the tab.
• Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to these tools.

3. Analytics and Advertising Technologies

Orwellix uses third-party analytics and advertising technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to measure website activity and support audience creation, advertising measurement, and future advertising campaigns. These technologies may place or access cookies and process website Event Data and related technical information.

Our Meta Pixel implementation does not transmit names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, user documents, or text entered into Orwellix tools. Details about the events and technical identifiers involved, Meta's role, retention, and available privacy controls are provided in our Privacy Policy.

PART II: Registered Application Services

4. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password. We offer Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and strongly recommend enabling it. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.

5. Free Trial Terms

• Trial Duration: New users are eligible for a 7-day free trial when signing up for Pro or Premium plans.
• Payment Authorization: A valid credit card is required to start the trial and is collected by the applicable Merchant of Record. You will not be charged during the 7-day trial period.
• Trial Credits: During the trial, you receive limited credits: 20 AI credits, 10,000 grammar characters, and 1,000 plagiarism words.
• Auto-Conversion: After 7 days, your trial automatically converts to a paid subscription and your credit card will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Post-Trial Credits: When your trial converts to a paid plan, you receive your full plan allocation minus any credits used during the trial.
• Trial Cancellation: You may cancel your trial at any time during the 7-day period. If cancelled, you retain access until the trial end date and will not be charged.
• One Trial Per User: Free trials are limited to one per user.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

• Merchant of Record: Paid Orwellix subscriptions are sold through an authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Dodo Paymentsis the default Merchant of Record for new purchases. Certain subscriptions purchased previously remain administered by Lemon Squeezy. Orwellix remains responsible for providing and licensing the Orwellix service. Your applicable provider is identified at checkout, on your receipt, or in your billing portal.
• Provider Terms: Your purchase and payment transaction are also subject to the applicable provider's buyer terms and privacy policy: the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy, or the Lemon Squeezy Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy, as applicable.
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. The price, currency, billing interval, and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. The Merchant of Record collects payment, issues the receipt or invoice, and administers the transaction.
• Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the next renewal charge. The applicable Merchant of Record will charge the payment method associated with your subscription.
• Refund Policy: We offer a 10-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 10 days of your initial purchase. After this period, no refunds (partial or full) are provided except where required by applicable law. Approved refunds are returned through the Merchant of Record that processed the original transaction and remain subject to its fraud and abuse controls and the original payment method's limitations. Renewal charges and unused portions of a subscription period are not refundable unless required by law.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period, and cancellation will stop future renewal charges. Cancel through the billing-management method provided for your subscription or contact us for assistance. Cancellation does not itself create a refund. These terms do not limit any non-waivable consumer rights available under applicable law.

7. Credit System Policy

Orwellix operates on a tiered credit system for resource-intensive features:

• Allocations (Monthly):
  • Pro Plan: 120 AI Credits, 100,000 Grammar Characters, 10,000 Plagiarism Words.
  • Premium Plan: 300 AI Credits, 300,000 Grammar Characters, 30,000 Plagiarism Words.
• Consumption: Ask Mode costs 1 credit/conversation; Agent Mode costs 2 credits/conversation.
• Expiration: Unused credits do not roll over to the next month. They reset at the start of each new billing cycle.
• Fair Use: Automated scraping or programmatic access to our AI endpoints is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

PART III: General Provisions

8. Intellectual Property & Content

Your Content: You retain full ownership and copyright of any text you write or upload to Orwellix. You grant us a limited license only to host, encrypt, and process this content to provide the service to you.

AI Output: You own the output generated by our AI tools. However, due to the nature of machine learning, output may not be unique across users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orwellix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Orwellix is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
